“The Goods” is a monthly edition intended to share the love and spread the word about people, products and services I authentically support. It’s my hope that by sharing with you some of the things that are inspiring and supporting me, you’ll give them a try in your own life and experience some of the same benefits I’m receiving.

Forgive me if you've already heard me sing this woman's praises! But I'm 'bout to do it again. Talk about innovation! Kelli came up with this innovative system for remote, virtual photoshoots during the pandemic. It is a perfect (and very well priced) way to get some new portraits of yourself without leaving the comfort of your own home!

✊ In solidarity with Iranian women everywhere
After Mahsa Amini’s death at the hands of the supposed “morality police” for not wearing a hijab, Iranian women around the world are in protest... And dozens more protesters and supporters have been killed in the aftermath. It’s hard to believe it’s 2022 and we’re seeing such blatant oppression and failure to grant basic human rights to women. Mahsa’s death has sparked the largest wave of protests in Iran in years, with an estimated 75+ people killed for showing up to stand for justice and freedom for women.
It’s always hard to know what to do with these stories, and yet we can choose to simply be aware and hold space for the collective grief. We’re all in this together. I’m sending love, care and deep tenderness for my friends and community members of Iranian descent, to all women as we continually watch ourselves be treated like lower class citizens, and to all humans who are willing to feel all the hard feelings this story brings up.

🌱 A course to help you conquer infertility

💃 A dance practice that will move your body and your soul
with Jocelyn Steury
I got to experience an hourlong movement practice with Jocelyn and I haven't been so moved by a dance experience in a LONG time — and if you know me, you know I LOVE to dance and have very high standards for music! Jocelyn's medicine comes through this unique offering, where she creates her own original poems and adds choreography, effectively turning a spoken word artform into a living, embodied prayer. She calls this original offering “Prayers in Motion” and she’s currently offering online series as well as in person classes and programs in Portland, Oregon.

Claire is my oldest friend— literally, we've known each other since preschool! I've watched her journey over the years as an incredible artist who became a firefighter who overcame infertility challenges to become a stellar mom, who then came back to her love of metal smithing and jewelry. She creates elegant, classy, durable golden jewelry that is truly stunning. I got to help her earlier this year with her website and her branding, and now sparks are flying as she's giving herself permission to really embrace her love of pretty gold things :)
