The Goods: For your listening pleasure…
“The Goods” is a monthly edition intended to share the love and spread the word about people, products and services I authentically support. It’s my hope that by sharing with you some of the things that are inspiring and supporting me, you’ll give them a try in your own life and experience some of the same benefits I’m receiving.
It's July, and we're in the midst of summer glory. Which hopefully means you're spending more time outside, moving your body, playing, walking, basking, delighting!
This is a curated short list of things you can listen to while you're out and about this summer. These books, podcasts, playlists and songs are seriously improving the quality of life for me right now. And you know I like to share that goodness with you!
Listen in.
[Podcast] Hello Seven 🔥
I'm having a love fest with Rachel Rodgers of Hello Seven (as in 7 figures), whose podcast is freaking fantastic. Pointed at entrepreneurs and business owners who exist on the margins of society (ie women, BIPOC, LGBTQUIA+....), her content is on point. And she delivers it with fierce love and a big dose of truth medicine. I love that she brings forth her point of view unabashedly, without apology, sharing all she's learned and owning who she is completely. Here's a great episode to start with. She also published her first book this past year called "We Should All Be Millionaires." Check her out.
[Playlist] Opening in Awe 🌻
I've been working on this playlist for several months now, and am really enjoying the ride! It's intended to support you in opening your heart, opening your mind, opening to curiosity and awe in any given moment. Great for a hike, cooking dinner, pulling some cards, working in the garden or whatever pleasurable summer activity you might get into. I'm still adding songs to it as they arise, and I hope you enjoy it!
[Audiobook] Big Magic 🎨
Fan girl moment: I'm in love with Liz Gilbert (I know I know, join the club Britta). I love how her life continues to unfold in very surprising ways, which she then shares with the world through her art. She is devoted to living a creative life in a thoughtful and deliberate way. I don't know how many times I've listened to this book, but I just listened to it again and recommend it! As I'm preparing to write and publish my next book later this summer (!), this book is the perfect reminder to get out of my own way and romance the muse with gusto.
[Podcast] Your Metamorphosis Awaits... 🦋
I just published a new episode of my very own podcast, The Sage & the Song— it explores the archetypal journey of metamorphosis that we go through as human and leaders, and specifically I do a deep dive share on the creation of my new 10-month mythic mastermind and community council called... Metamorphosis ;) If you want to hear what I'm up to and where the juiciest bits of my creativity are pointed right now, listen to this episode! I'm deeply inspired by the call to offer this council.
ps. 6 seats remain. Is one of them yours? Reach out to info@brittagreenviolet.com OR fill out the application for a Discovery Call to hear more.
[Meditation] Morning Meditation by Jonathan Lehmann 🔔
(10m, 28s) I've loved this guided meditation for a decade now. It had been a while since I had listened to it, and it popped in my head recently, so I went back to Insight Timer to located it and give it a try. Still love it! Jonathan's voice is really pleasing and calming, and he makes the process of meditation into a sweet spell of intention for a magical day. This meditation features and swirls around this quote from Einstein: "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
[YouTube Channel] Tap with Brad 🧠
Brad Yates is a cute, geeky tapper. I adore his YouTube channel, a wealth of incredible, concise and effective guided tapping practices. All his videos are categorized, so whether you want to lift your mood, make more money, heal your body or improve your relationships (or pretty much anything else), he's got you covered. A brilliant, quick way to shift your energy. If you haven't tried tapping (aka EFT or emotional freedom technique), it's a cool method to get underneath your unconscious brain and shift the mechanics of your thinking. You don't need to know anything about the technique to dive right in.
[Song] No Sweat, by me 💥
You know I had to throw in one of my originals
There's a lot of hard-to-swallow energy and situations unfolding in the world. Now, and always. This song is a reminder that, as Glennon Doyle says, "we can do hard things." And we can do it together, with grace, humor and a touch of Trickster energy! Short and sweet, I hope this one sticks with you and rises back up in times where you're thinking 'how the heck am I gonna do this?'
[Song] Yuruba by ALUNA & J.Pool 🪘
This song. This song is rocking my soul this summer.
Beloved, may these aural gifts provide insight, laughter, and a remembrance of your greatness.
I see you!
Keep going.
You can do this.
All over it. No problem. No sweat!
Whispering words of encouragement in your ear,
