The Great Migration
I don’t know if it's just me, but I feel like I am finally just now emerging from my bear cave of winter’s hibernation and stepping into the energy of springtime!
What that looks like for me is a lighter heart, a more hopeful outlook, a more positive attitude, more levity, more joy :)
Do you feel me on that? Has spring finally sprung for you, too???
Since we’re chatting about the changing seasons, I want to share some really big news that I’ve been hinting at and alluding to for some time…
Ben and I are moving to Washington state!
It is an exciting and tender time. We LOVE our community in Santa Barbara. We have so much soul family here whom we are bonded with for life.
And, the time has come!
Like the geese and so many feathered relatives, we hear the call.
We are spreading our wings, preparing for flight.
It’s terrifying and invigorating at the same time!
What does it mean to migrate?
Obviously, there is the terrain-related meaning, to move from one region or habitat to another according to a shift in the seasons.
But we can also explore the word from a more metaphysical angle.
To migrate is to make a shift, to literally move from one thing or area to another. Our attention can migrate, our energy can migrate, our focus and intentions can migrate.
And the earthly wisdom of it all reminds me of something beautiful:
We are not meant to stay stagnant as creatures of this planet!
From the fish to the birds to the herds of antelope in the African Savannas, the animals of this great mother earth know that it is natural to move and shift and stay flexible in our ability to change it up.
You never know when a change will be necessary, and what a gift to be emotionally, spiritually and mentally limber if and when that time comes.
What I can say for myself in this moment is that, of course, there are many emotions showing up: from joy to grief and everything in between. But mostly, I feel excited! I can’t wait to see what new friends we make, what new communities we weave, and most of all to manifest our future home and be able to invite you to come join us there for a retreat in the future...
Which is where you come in, dear one!
Because if you know anything about the process of manifestation, you know that holding the vision and speaking the words are crucial.
It’s our dream to purchase land in the forests of the Pacific Northwest and create a beautiful retreat center where we can host you for song gatherings, rituals, ceremonies, wellness retreats, silence and solitude, and much more. If you feel called to hold the vision with us, I would be so grateful!
I cannot wait to extend that first invitation to come join us there :)
And, know that I will be as present as ever with my work, which is continuing to unfold and reveal itself in new, beautiful ways. I look forward to sharing more about what’s to come in the fall in terms of group programs and future offerings.
The first half of 2021 was super challenging for me, full of heartache and hard lessons (how about you?). I’m grateful for every moment, and I trust completely in the path before me.
I trust in the wise old migration!
So Friend, is there anything nudging you to migrate?
(this could be changing a habit, shifting an attitude, adjusting your focus, or maybe an actual move?)
In trust of the migration into ever deeper trust and love,
