Clear Vision

I got my eyes checked recently in preparation for ordering some new glasses, which I use for nighttime driving and movie watching. They put in drops to dilate my pupils. The next 5 hours were very blurry. What a great reminder to appreciate the simple but overlooked (yes, pun) pleasure of clear vision!

Along parallel lines:

Isn’t it the best when your inner third-eye vision is also crystal clear, and you know exactly where you’re going, and how long it will take to get there, and what your route will look like along the way?

Let us also give thanks for those blessed moments of clarity.

Because you know what? Even if you’re tuned in, decisive and wisely discerning, the path can appear blurry to even the wisest of sages.

Where we get caught is to become despairing in the moments of uncertainty.

One of my practices is to lean in and notice when I start to squirm and suffer needlessly… simply because I want to know exactly how it’s all going to fall into place. What a waste of precious life force energy!

So here’s to the moments of clarity, and to the moments of uncertainty. The contrast makes that crystal clear vision oh so much sweeter…

In the words of a true master seer:

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”
